Do we decide our own path or does society?

July 31st, 2008 by

curious asked:

some people live in the bottom end of society where they do not have a chance to become who or what they want..they have parents who have set a life for them and are too unknowledgable to know how to change life around. In this case, do they decide to live this way forever or is the family and society to blame??
before adulthood, because by the time these people are adults, the oppurtunities get smaller and smaller because of the path they are on,what they know and things they lack.

Who made a difference in your life?

July 26th, 2008 by

Jenna asked:

Hi, did you have a special friend, a family member, or a bf/gf, co-worker, counselor, teacher….someone that had inspired you to do what you want to do with your life. Who was that and why was that person special…in what ways? What were the words they used that helped you make your decisions to the right path?

How do you as a Christian live your life?

July 26th, 2008 by

DC asked:

To my brothers and sisters in Christ… The bible says to be not conformed to this world but transformed. What do you think that means in your daily life? It says “blessed is the man who does not walk in the council of the ungodly, nor stand in the path of sinners or sit in the seat of the scornful.” It calls us to live holy. Beyond just reading the bible, do you consecrate yourself daily? Do you fast? Please share how you aspire to live Christ-like in your daily lives. What about your lifestyle (besides attending church and maybe praying over your food in public) distinguishes you as a Christian?

I think it is in small part, the inability to any see significant difference between our walk and that of say ‘a moral unbeliever’, that bring on such reproach from those who question our faith.
tks Jax…to make you better how? Astaining from illicit *** and drugs are things my dad (a moral atheist) does as well….what makes your life different my sister?
thks noble…the guidance of the HS ( I understand) but how does that manifest in your daily life to differentiate you from the non believer with a big conscience or a sof heart?
and God bless you “Honest”…you are on that narrow path of righteousness. Keep seeking Him as you are and witness the wonder of His presence in your life….

My life feels like a relationship mess?

July 23rd, 2008 by

Daivd J asked:

Hey all, i was with my girlfriend for a year, i felt unloved and slightly used, we used to fight alot and she put up alot of walls due to a bad childhood and bad past with guys. I ended the relationships after a year due to seeking new employment and i met a girl there, i never cheated, but we became friends in the workplace, she was engaged at the time, she explained how she was unhappy at times and her fiance expected to much from her, i ended my relationship because just her friendship showed me there was new and fresh people out there that would respect me alot more. Few weeks passed and we ended up together, we were together for about a month before the love i had my for ex was far to greater than any love i could have for her, she was the nicest and affectionate girl, she had goals, life plans and a good fiancial situation. My ex swore to me she had changed and 2 months down the track we are the happiest couple ever, today a song came on that me and this girl used to listen to at work and it reminded me of her, i guess i miss her because i feel bad, she never did anything to hurt me, i still see her every now and then but she says she hates me, and i can understand why, i **** that my life’s path had to include hurting her but i love my girlfriend now far to much to go to anyone else, why did god choose this path for me :(

I go to this school with a majority of dumb kids, is it possible to get into Standford University?

July 14th, 2008 by

jkl789 asked:

The majority of the kids aren’t that bright and they seemed to go to the wrong path in life. I get straight A’s, taking an AP class and a sport in my freshman year. Sometimes I feel ashamed of my school because of the students and whenever someone ask me what school I go to, they assume that I am dumb because I go to that school.

If our life is already written for us, then He already knows?

July 8th, 2008 by

akdeniz asked:

if we will be accepted in Heaven or not. So why does it matter then, how we live our lives, cause God already knows the path we are going to take right? And that path may not lead to Heaven so why will we be punished?
Im asking this question and looking for an answer form the Quran in the Islamic belief. Can you please answer with that in mind. Also, if you can elaborate on your answer that would be great. Jazak Allah Khair.

How does Harry Potter come back to life at the End of the Deathly Hallows?

July 7th, 2008 by

supersonic9120@snet.net asked:

I really thought that it was because he was the master of death. He had possession of all of the hallows, and this was the only reason he would be able to come back. Even though he dropped the stone, he was still the possessor of them all, and henceforth master of death. Dumbledore explains a lot in kings cross but never explains why harry can come back. And there would literally be no point of having the deathly hallows other than the fact that harry survived only because he was master of death. The horcrux died, and harry died, yet since harry was the master of death, he was able to choose his path.
YES or NO? what do we all think???

How much is your child or loved ones life worth to you?

July 2nd, 2008 by

Leo B asked:

Hypothetically speaking, suppose you are face with a difficult situation. For example: lets say you are a scout master or something and you are hiking through a mountain pass with the troop (your son is also in the troop), you approach a dangerous pass where there is a cliff and suddenly the path gives in! Your son and another boy are hanging on the ledge of the cliff, all of the scouts start panicking and screaming. You have to make a decision, your son’s life or the other boy, whom you known for many years and he is like in a way your son too.
What would you do?

In another instance: suppose its the life of your child or loved one vs that of a stranger, and you had to choose, what then?

What if it were ten strangers? One hundred? etc..

Catch my drift..
