When I first began writing about polyamory, some people proclaimed that I was just in it for the sex.
I explained that my primary interest in polyamory has to do with sharing emotional intimacy, not physical intimacy. That’s the honest truth.
However, later I realized there was a hidden assumption behind the comments people were making. I [...]

I’ve never resonated with the usual dating and courtship process.
Traditional dating is actually one of our society’s most ineffective inventions. The main reason it gets so much attention is the commercial engine that drives it. Restaurants, movie theatres, jewelers, etc. want you to believe that spending money on their products and services equals romance. If [...]

I posted this to my Twitter account early today and thought I’d share it here since I know many bloggers are curious about it. I usually prefer not to write much about blogging these days (it’s my medium, not my message), but I like to offer some inspiration to help other bloggers when I can.
Q: [...]

Here’s an update on the journey Erin and I have been taking along the path of polyamory during the past couple weeks. I had the option of posting another incredibly lengthy piece, but I deciding to do something different this time and break it into smaller, bite-sized chunks that will be posted throughout the week. ThomasJefferson2007 asked: I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Politics (concentrating in American Government) as well as a minor in Theology & Religious Studies.
I find the work of groups like The Interfaith Alliance, Americans United, and Faith In Public Life to be of great service to the political and faith based community.
I would like to get involved in one of these groups or a similar group. What is the best way to get involved with one of these organizations, with regards to employment opportunities?

Emotional intimacy and genuine friendship are the most important factors. Those relationships may or may not include physical intimacy as well.
A common misconception is that polyamory is all about the sex. [...]

As a follow-up to yesterday’s post about leaving monogamy behind in order to pursue polyamory, here are answers to some questions I’ve been asked. The last question is answered by Erin.
What effect will polyamory have on your marriage with Erin?
Since I’ve never done anything like this before, it’s hard to say. Surely it will create [...]

Have you ever met anyone who was normal?
I’ve met a lot of people on this planet so far, and none have ever seemed normal — or average — to me. Not even close.
Being normal is a myth. There’s no such thing.
Despite what some people say about me, I don’t consider my lifestyle radical, abnormal, or [...]
